7 remanded as MACC investigates SMS syndicate

SEVEN people have been remanded for four days to facilitate investigations into a syndicate that allegedly raked in millions by manipulating mobile phone users’ personal information.

They are among eight individuals, comprising directors and technical staff of three companies, detained in a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission operation in the Klang Valley yesterday.
