Seven people illegally recruited for work in Sabah were rescued in Bongao,Tawi-Tawi on Sunday.

The Tawi-Tawi Provincial MobileMe Forxe Company and Tawi-Tawi Maritime personnel said two minors were rescued in an operation at Bongao port while the rest were rescued while onboard M/V Magnolia Lilliflora.

The raid followed a tip off to the authorities about the planned illegal sea journey to Sabah. They were allegedly recruited by a certain Andok Iqbal.
