This Skyline GT-R has been comprehensively upgraded but is still way down on power compared to the Tesla
The Hoonigan channel on YouTube is currently hosting a series of videos where high-performance cars attempted to out-accelerate a Model S Plaid. It goes without saying that on paper, the Tesla has an obvious advantage over the Skyline GT-R and should leave it in the dust but the Nissan’s efforts should make Japanese car enthusiasts proud.in question is one of a host of Skylines owned by one especially keen enthusiast. In fact, he owns two R34s, an R33, two R32s, and a single R35 GT-R.
In the first head-to-head race between the pair, the Tesla obviously jumps out to a significant lead over the Skyline GT-R but that’s no surprise given it has roughly 400 hp more. To try and even things up for the second race, the Model S Plaid is placed into its ‘Chill’ mode and loaded with a bunch of passengers.
Tesla’s ‘Chill’ mode is very fitting of the name and dramatically reduces power, allowing the Skyline to take a very easy win. The final race features the Tesla in its ‘Sport’ mode and this is the closest of the three races.
