Media melaporkan, 16 orang berjaya diselamatkan dan dibawa ke pantai Zarzis oleh tentera laut Tunisia.

Menurut UNHCR, kejadian terbaru melibatkan kehilangan nyawa tertinggi selepas insiden yang mengorbankan 117 nyawa pada pertengahan Januari lepas.

Agensi itu berkata, 16 orang berjaya diselamatkan dan dibawa ke pantai Zarzis oleh tentera laut Tunisia, lapor agensi berita Xinhua. Seorang mangsa dipindahkan serta-merta ke hospital untuk rawatan perubatan, sementara yang lain menunggu kebenaran untuk mendarat, kata PBB.
