ABOUT 60% of workers in Malaysia will find it very difficult to survive beyond one week if they were to suddenly lose their jobs because of the economic impact brought by the Covid-19 pandemic, a Malay Economic Action Council senior fellow said. Azlan Awang said these workers will not have the means to raise even RM1,000 each should they find themselves jobless.
