Special measures were put in place for the Chini by-election, the first to be held amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the Pekan district health office and other agencies had begun preparations early to ensure the voting process went smoothly in compliance with the new norms.
