Russian rockets rained down on the Ukrainian city of Kherson, killing and maiming civilians, as Vladimir Putin was delivering a speech blaming the conflict on the West.

Ukrainian officials said the rocket attack also injured 12 people, leaving pools of blood on the ground next to a destroyed bus stop.

The explosion in the center of the city also decimated multiple storefronts, took down powerlines and shattered windows on the opposite side of the street. A Russian rocket struck a busy street in the Ukrainian city of Kherson Tuesday, killing six people and leaving pools of blood on the street.President Volodymyr Zelensky shared photos from Kherson showing dead and wounded civilians.The attack happened as Russian President Vladimir Putin was delivering a speech in which he justified the conflict and blamed on Ukraine’s Western allies.
