IPOH: Exposure to electromagnetic waves from 5G networks will not pose any health threats, says Dr Lee Boon Chye.

The Deputy Health Minister assured that the level of radiation was low and was, in fact, safer than using mobile phones."If the people are worried, they might as well avoid it and also stop using mobile phones," he told reporters after attending a groundbreaking ceremony of the Botani Village commercial project at Bandar Seri Botani here on Saturday .Dr Lee was asked about the effects of 5G signals carried by radiowaves and whether the radiation it emitted could cause cancer.

He said the government always monitored technologies used and would ensure that all guidelines were adhered to.
