Kota Kinabalu: Data Kawasan Keselamatan Khas Pantai Timur Sabah (Esscom) menunjukkan Sabah mempunyai 543 penempatan setinggan di seluruh negeri dan di Labuan dengan jumlah penduduk lebih 140,000 pendatang tanpa izin tinggal dalam kalangan penduduk setinggan.
Dianggarkan bahawa pendatang haram itu terdiri daripada lebih 90,000 warga Filipina, 45,000 warga Indonesia dan 5,000 yang lain, termasuk dari Asia Selatan.Daerah Lahad Datu mendahului senarai dengan 130 setinggan seumpama itu diikuti Beluran dengan 96. Keningau ; Papar , Kota Kinabalu , Tuaran , Sandakan , Penampang , Kota Belud , Semporna , Kudat , Kinabatangan , Tawau , Ranau , Sipitang , Kunak , Tenom , Labuan , Kota Marudu dan Beaufort .
