The Omni PGA Frisco Resort has hired over 900 employees and continues to hire more.
Smith said the resort’s leisure travelers will come from local and regional cities, including Houston, Austin, San Antonio and D-FW.
Looking ahead to summer, the resort is seeing interest from corporate groups but remains focused on family-friendly amenities as it heads into peak leisure season. Rates start at $305 a night to stay in the resort but vary based on seasonality.There are 35 meeting areas, with over 127,000-square feet of indoor and outdoor space. That appeals to corporate travelers looking to amp up their business gatherings.corporate travel spending in the U.S.
Corporate groups “recognize that they may have multiple meetings that are kind of normal throughout the year in other parts of the country. But, when they want to have the one, elite meeting that matters, this is where they’re bringing that,” Smith said.Resort officials are also expecting to take advantage of the post-pandemic wedding boom, too.
The resort’s catering department is having daily site visits with wedding planners and couples, Smith said. with an adjoining patio and event lawn. There are also two ballrooms for receptions, including a 22,000-square-foot grand ballroom and an 11,500-square-foot “junior” ballroom.
