, just as diners are getting ready to celebrate the end of 2021 at local restaurants. If you’re planning to go out to eat this week and next, here are some things to know:staffing shortages at some restaurants in the last week or so , prompting some to pause service for a few days to a week to give staff time to recuperate. But many restaurants we called were still open for business, with no known cases on staff and no current plans to close or pause. And some are just adjusting their hours as a preventive measure, like Dude, Sweet Chocolate in Oak Cliff.
