Washington also got nine starts out of Taylor Heinicke last season before he signed a two-year, $14 million contract with the Atlanta Falcons in March.

Washington also went with a corner in the second round with Illinois’ Jartavius Martin. Martin is a bit slower but a bit beefier, and has some positional flexibility as a nickel back or a safety.
