Five Chinese were arrested for illegal detention inside a casino resort and hotel in Parañaque City on Saturday, March 5.

Police identified the suspects as Jiang Lincheng, 25; Ding Fei, 24, both restaurant workers; Wa Yazhou, 30, supermarket worker; Li Siyuan,32; and Chen Liqiang, 36, a businessman. Investigation showed the suspects were arrested around 4:44 p.m. at the Okada Manila Resort in New Seaside Drive,Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City.

Police said the suspects detained a victim identified only as alias Lin Mingshan inside Room 15025 of the hotel and demanded him to pay his debt amounting to P500,000. The police said the hotel security and surveillance officers were alerted when the victim was dragged by the suspects towards the exit of the hotel to board a waiting vehicle.
