Two former 49ers quarterbacks will be on the sideline for the Knights’ inaugural girls flag football season

NFL Hall of Famer Steve Young and fellow former 49ers backup quarterback John Paye will be part of the Menlo School’s girls flag football coaching staff.

“We are excited to add girls flag football to our sport offerings and provide an opportunity for our female students to play a popular, fast-growing sport,” athletic director Earl Koberlein said in a press release.He coached the Knights’ girls basketball team to four section titles, and Paye won his 400th game as a basketball head coach in December.
