A brush fire in far Southeast Bexar County grew to 40 acres and destroyed one abandoned building before it was fully contained Monday night.
The fire started at around 4 p.m. Monday in the 1200 block of Donop Road, according to Bexar County Fire. San Antonio Fire, Bexar County Fire, and Wilson County Fire responded to the location. Donop Rd has been closed between Highway 181 and Old Corpus Christi Road. Fire units will remain on the scene to monitor for any hot spots.
