At the end of 2019, Airbnb was one of many organizations that signed on to We Are All Human Foundation’s Hispanic Promise, a call for companies to create more inclusive work environments for Latinxs.
Maria Cuba, Airbnb’s diversity and belonging business partner, and Alyssa Ramirez, partnerships manager, are taking this call to action and making sure that it’s implemented in various way. Their desire to create an even more inclusive work environment for Latinos is rooted in their own experience in the workforce.
“I decided to lead Juntos because of the pathway that was created by other Latina leaders, like Maria Cuba,” explains Ramirez. “I wanted to use my voice to elevate issues and open more doors for recruitment and community engagement. Juntos not only serves as a voice for our internal Latinx employee community, it also represents the broader community of 60 million Latino consumers in the United States.
