Four students at Pepperdine University were killed this week after a 22-year-old driver lost control of his BMW and struck the women as they were walking along the Pacific Coast Highway, according to authorities.
If convicted of the felony charge, Bohm could face between two to six years in prison, state law says. Jim Gash, the president and CEO of Pepperdine, said in a letter to the university that the four women “were taken from us suddenly, tragically, and incomprehensibly” in a crash he described as “an unthinkable tragedy.”“To the students who loved, lived with, and were in community with the departed members of our Pepperdine family, my heart is broken with yours,” he said. “I join you in your grief as we process this profound loss.
The four women killed were students at Seaver College, Pepperdine’s liberal arts college. They were also sorority sisters. Traffic Detective Roger Schultz said Wednesday that authorities believe the women were going to “meet up with people,” but did not give specifics.that the 20-year-old Los Angeles native was a business major and set to graduate with the class of 2024. Her 21st birthday would have been next month, KTLA reported.
