Two Dutch and two German tourists were targeted by hijackers in two separate incidents.
While September is Tourism Month in South Africa, criminals left four international visitors with little to celebrate.
The first attempted hijacking, in which two Dutch tourists were targeted, took place just after 11:00. The second incident took place after 12:00, near the Oshoek Border Post, during which a German couple’s car was damaged as hijackers tried to force it off the road.
