Dewan Rakyat Speaker Johari Abdul says the anti-hopping law does not apply to the quartet as they have only made public declarations to back Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
Dewan Rakyat Speaker Johari Abdul said he will contact the four Bersatu MPs soon to discuss their seats in the Dewan Rakyat.
“They sent me a letter today, and I will look at the setup of the seats in the Dewan Rakyat first,” said Dewan Rakyat Speaker Johari Abdul during a press conference in Parliament today.Johari added that the anti-hopping law does not apply to the quartet as they have only made public declarations to back Anwar’s administration.
Yesterday, Jeli MP Zahari Kechik pledged his support for the current government, making him the fourth parliamentarian from Bersatu to do so since Oct 12.
