Dallas police arrested Kylan Owens on Friday in connection with the December incident in the 5600 block of Lovers Lane.December shooting and attempted carjackingKylan Owens, 19, was booked into the Dallas County jail on a charge of aggravated robbery. He does not have an attorney listed in court records.
Police wrote in an arrest-warrant affidavit that Dade approached a man with a rifle and used it to shove him backwards while demanding the keys to his Maserati and his wallet. They got into a fight, and Dade fired one round, the affidavit says. Police said Dade, Owens and Primers fled, and video surveillance showed a silver sedan with black wheels driving quickly through the lot.
According to the affidavit, Dade told authorities he was shot during a drive-by shooting at a Fiesta Mart in South Dallas, but police found no evidence of any such shooting during the hour before Dade arrived at the hospital.
