PUTRAJAYA: No new Covid-19 related deaths were reported by the health ministry today, with the death toll remaining at 121.

Three new cases were reported, pushing the total number of infected patients nationwide so far to 8,637, with 182 active cases. Four patients are being treated in the intensive care unit with one requiring respiratory assistance.Noor Hisham said the new infections comprised one imported case and two local transmissions involving Malaysians.

The local cases were detected after a pre-procedure screening on a leukemia patient in Selangor, and a workplace screening in Sandakan, Sabah.
