ICYMI: Three more Catholic lay organizations have expressed their support for Vice President Leni Robredo’s presidential bid.
The lay council of Calapan in Oriental Mindoro on Wednesday have also announced their endorsement of Robredo and her running mate Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, saying the tandem “can uplift our current situation.”
In Palawan, the lay council of Taytay recently expressed their support for Robredo and Pangilinan and the following 11 senatorial candidates: Teddy Baguilat, Chel Diokno, Sen. Risa Hontiveros, Alex Lacson, Sonny Matulad, former Sen. Antonio Trillanes, Neri Colmenares, Sen. Richard Gordon, Samira Gutoc, and Sen. Joel Villanueva.
In a letter dated February 25 but was only published on Thursday, the organization believes that the said candidates “reflect the values and aspirations, dreams and hopes of the people we want to serve.”It can be recalled that several religious organizations endorsed the candidacy of Robredo, like the leadership of the Council of the Laity of the Philippines, the Couples for Christ international council, and more than 500 members of “Pari Madre Misyonero Para Kay Leni.
