Perdana Menteri Muhyiddin Yassin berkata kajian klinikal fasa 3 vaksin Covid-19 akan melibatkan seramai 3,000 sukarelawan dan bermula pada 21 Januari ini. – Gambar fail The Malaysian Insight, 11 Januari, 2021.

“Malaysia bakal menjadi negara pertama di luar negara China untuk kajian calon ‘inactivated Covid-19 vaccine’ buatan Institute of Medical Biology Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, China ini. Katanya sebagai persediaan awal bagi memastikan pengagihan vaksin Covid-19 kepada rakyat negara ini berjalan lancar apabila bekalan diperolehi, KKM telah membangunkan Pelan Program Imunisasi Covid-19 Kebangsaan.

Perdana Menteri berkata kerajaan juga sedang dalam proses rundingan akhir dengan Sinovac, CanSino dan Gamaleya bagi mendapatkan jaminan bekalan vaksin bertambah melebihi 80 peratus jumlah populasi negara atau 26.5 juta.
