Unfortunately, her colleagues knew nothing. Her brother immediately lodged a police report after realizing that things were not as simple as they seemed. “My sister has never told me anything about going to Thailand. We tried contacting her through different methods, but we couldn’t reach her.”The search for Jia Hui was widened, and her family members took to social media to look for her. On June 4, Jia Hui’s brother received a WhatsApp message from an unknown man, who claimed that his sister was with him.
The brother requested to speak to Jia Hui but was denied. Due to the suspicious nature of the matter, none of the family members paid a single sen. Until today, the mysterious man has yet to reach out to the family members again.
