You undoubtedly know—and most likely love—Lana Condor from her role as Lara Jean in Netflix’s uber-popularfranchise, but have you ever spent the day sipping coffee, whiling away hours at a bookstore, and stocking up on Asian grocery snacks with her? That’s exactly whatrecently did, and much was learned about the 24-year-old actress, including the fact that she's a major bookworm for whom reading thrillers is “almost like meditation.
“This is my heaven! We’re surrounded by instant noodles,” Condor notes joyfully from amid the aisles at Seattle's Uwajimaya Market, where she likes to get ahead of her dried spicy ramen needs . Condor is passionate about shopping at local Asian markets, saying, “I think cooking and food is a really great way to learn about a culture.”
Back at her house, Condor introduces us to her family, which includes her fiancé, actor and singer Anthony De La Torre, as well as an adorable pair of dogs, Emmy and Timmy.
After dinner, the night’s activity is a walk to the beach—Elliott Bay Trail, to be specific—with Emmy and Timmy in tow, where Condor and De La Torre admire the sunset view . Once the dogs are dropped off back home, the couple meets up with Condor’s dad, a sports journalist, for a Seattle Krakens game.
