Pada 8 April, Mahkamah Majistret Kajang menjatuhkan hukuman penjara 14 hari terhadap kumpulan terbabit selepas mereka mengaku salah terhadap pertuduhan hadir di kawsan jangkitan tanpa alasan munasabah.
Sebanyak 17 daripada mereka yang berumur antara 22 dan 34 tahun dijatuhi hukuman penjara 14 hari kerana berkumpul di sebuah unit kondominium, manakala 6 lagi yang turut menghadapi hukuman sama setelah mengakui hadir di kawasan yang dijangkiti wabak tanpa alasan munasabah dan minum minuman keras di tempat awam.
“Tarikh pendengaran ditetapkan pada 14 April. Permohonan itu difailkan atas alasan bahawa banyak kes terdahulu dikenakan hukuman mengikuti program khidmat masyarakat dan denda. Dalam kes ini, tidak sepatutnya dipenjarakan,” katanya. Majistret Muhammad Noor Firdaus Rosli memerintahkan hukuman itu bermula dari tarikh tangkap iaitu pada 2 dan 3 April.
