The older brother of a 4-year-old girl shot in Fultondale earlier this week has been charged in connection with the incident.
Police and fire medics were dispatched shortly after 12:30 p.m. WednesdayPolice Chief Marcel Walker said when officers arrived, the little girl’s mother was applying pressure to the child’s leg wound. The bullet had gone in and out of the girl’s leg.The mother told police the girl was in a room and accidentally shot herself, Walker said.
Three people were at the home when police arrived. A fourth - Lewis - had left before officers got on the scene, the chief said.Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to all Fultondale police at 205-849-5456.
