The Lagos chapter of the All Progressives Congress has responded to rumours of a rift between Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, and the Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
Speaking to Daily Trust, Seye Oladejo, the APC’s Publicity Secretary in Lagos, attributed the rumours to opposition groups seeking to create unnecessary controversy. “The party has not spoken about the 2027 election. This is the time for impactful governance, not needless politicking to heat the polity,” Oladejo said.
Regarding the alleged endorsements of Seyi Tinubu, Oladejo dismissed them as external attempts to stir up sentiment and conflict within the APC and stressed that unity and progress should remain the party’s primary focus.
