The scouting process for the 2024 NFL Draft is already under way, so why not give you a preview of college football's best players and next year's top draft prospects

It’s me, hi, I’m the problem, it’s me, and it’s time to close the book on the 2022-2023 draft season. However, before I do, I couldn’t possibly leave you without at least a glimpse of the upcoming college football season and the best players we’ll all be obsessing over before the 2024 NFL Draft, which will be held in Detroit.Obviously, a way-too-early mock draft isn’t about accuracy, although, 20 of the 32 players I included last year were drafted in the first three rounds last week. All in all, 27 of 30 players who entered the draft were drafted .
You may think the Cardinals wouldn’t be in the market for a quarterback, having recently signed Kyler Murray to an extension, but if their original pick ends up this early, something went terribly wrong. I’m not sure an already contentious relationship could survive another losing season of this magnitude. Williams is special off-platform and could become Trojans coach Lincoln Riley’s third quarterback to win the Heisman Trophy and go first overall, joining Murray and Baker Mayfield.
