2023-Audi Q8 E-Tron boasting more range replaces E-Tron electric SUV

The 2023 Audi Q8 E-Tron has revealed with fresh styling, more range, and improved charging performance—and received a new name in the process.

The updated mid-size electric SUV was revealed late on Tuesday as the 2023 Audi Q8 E-Tron, and it is confirmed to reach dealerships in the second quarter of 2023, in both regular SUV and coupe-like Q8 Sportback E-Tron guises.arrived for 2019 and ticked many of the right boxes for EV fans, but it was let down by its low 204 miles of range. Efficiency updates for 2021 increased the range to 222 miles, though rival EVs were well over 300 miles at that point.

Grades for the U.S. are expected to include a Q8 55 E-Tron and SQ8 E-Tron, both featuring the 106-kwh battery. The Q8 55 E-Tron has a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive powertrain good for 402 hp. The SQ8 E-Tron has a tri-motor, all-wheel-drive setup good for 496 hp. The top speed in the SQ8 E-Tron is capped at 130 mph .
