PETALING JAYA: A YouTube video of Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir announcing his resignation that has gone viral is not new.
This is because the one-minute 15-second video showing Mukhriz flanked by supporters was actually dated Feb 2, 2016.
It was reported that Maszlee's replacement has been a hot topic with Mukhriz's name being the latest name to be thrown into the ring. It was also speculated that Guar Chempedak state assemblyman Datuk Wira Ku Abd Rahman Ku Ismail was tipped to Mukhriz's replacement. In February 2016, Mukhriz had resigned as Kedah Mentri Besar after the state underwent a fortnight of political crisis.
