CLEVELAND, Ohio – Police are investigating the fatal shootings of two teens in the city’s Collinwood-Nottingham neighborhood on Thursday.
Marcel Martin, 17, and Trashawn Reese Troutman, 17, both of Cleveland, were shot about 3:25 p.m., according to police and the office of the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner. Officers found Martin in a vehicle with gunshot wounds at the intersection of Rodman Court and Rugby Road. Martin was pronounced dead at the scene.
Paramedics transported Troutman to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, where he later died.The shooting came hours after authorities in Cleveland gathered at the office of the Cuyahoga County prosecutor to discuss the growing number of crimes committed among youth in the city, and the rising number of teens arrested for murder.
