BREAKING: An Arlington high school is on lockdown after an on-campus shooting in which two students were injured Monday, officials with Arlington ISD said. arlingtonisd kprc2 click2houston dfw arlington

reported that the district says the shooting happened outside of the Lamar High School facility where two students were hit and are receiving medical care.

According to officials, the suspect was arrested. There was no information immediately available on what led up to this incident, but surrounding schools do not seem to be impacted, NBC DFW said. According to the Arlington Police Department, the scene is secure, but the campus remains on lockdown. The school district urged parents, students, and community members to stay away from the campus while APD conducts its investigation, NBC DFW reported.
