Police said a 24-year-old woman was shot in the body and backside, before the shooter, a 26-year-old man turned the gun on himself.
Two people are in critical condition after a shooting that took place inside an apartment in the Near North Side neighborhood Wednesday night.
Police said the shooting took place in the hallway of the apartment building, in the 1000 block of North LaSalle Street around 10 p.m. A 24-year-old woman was shot in the body and backside, before the shooter, a 26-year-old man, turned the gun on himself. A neighbor from the 8th floor of the building where the shooting happened said it all stemmed from a neighbor dispute and they heard five to six gunshots rang out.
CBS 2's Jackie Kostek reported that other neighbors in the building were unaware of the shooting and weren't notified by building management regarding the incident. The woman and the shooter are being treated at Northwestern Hospital - both are expected to survive.
