In its Astronomical Diary, the state weather bureau bared that these two astronomical events are Lyrid and Pi Puppid meteor shower.“The shower will produce the best display shortly before dawn, with up to 16 meteors per hour. The value mentioned assumes that the observer is in a clear, dark, moonless sky condition and that the radiant is highest in the sky,” said PAGASA.

Pi Puppids, on the other hand, will be active from April 15 until April 28, and it is expected to peak on April 24. “[It] can be observed after sunset until the shower’s radiant sinks towards the horizon at around 10:10 p.m.,” the state weather bureau added.
