The motives behind two separate stabbing incidents, in which two men lost their lives in a coastal town, are unknown.
Two murders are being investigated by Pacaltsdorp Police, in George in the Western Cape, after two men, aged 56 and 18, were murdered in separate incidents in the early hours of yesterday morning.
According to provincial police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk, the body of the 56-year-old was found in Protea Road around 02:22. “Police members attended a complaint where the deceased was found lying on his back on the road surface. He had a stab wound in his ribcage under his left arm, and small open wounds between his eyebrows and above his left eye,” says Van Wyk.
“In another incident at about 01:42, an 18-year-old man was stabbed and fatally injured near Crossandra Street in New Dawn Park.” According to reports, the deceased was found in grass in Crossandra Street. He had a stab wound to the left side of his neck.An 18-year-old suspect was arrested and will appear in court once charged.
