Pageant fans and local officials in Eastern Visayas celebrated as two Waraynons were crowned in the grand coronation night of the 58th Binibining Pilipinas beauty pageant in Quezon City Sunday, August 1.
BINIBINING Pilipinas Globe Chelsea Fernandez and Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental Gabrielle Basiano wave to the crowd after their coronation Sunday, July 31, in Quezon City. With them are other winners of the beauty pageant.
Gabrielle Camille Basiano of Borongan City, Eastern Samar was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2022 while Chelsea Fernandez from this city was named Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2022. Borongan City Mayor Jose Ivan Dayan Agda thanked Basiano for not only representing the city but for also doing a great job in showcasing the rich culture, beauty, and wit of Boronganons in the national pageantry.
The Borongan mayor said they are excited to welcome her back to Borongan City with a celebration fit for a queen.
