Court records show the suspect tied to multiple Tempe burglaries told police he was under the influence of drugs and wanted to apologize to one of the victims.
MESA, Ariz. — Two people were taken to the hospital after a home invasion in Mesa, the city's police department said.
Around 5 a.m. Tuesday, police received a call about a possible burglary that occurred at a residence near Mesa Drive and Broadway Road, police said. According to authorities, police received additional information that there were three possible suspects who entered an apartment and attempted to commit a burglary.
When officers arrived on scene, they were able to determine a home invasion had occurred and found three victims in the house. Officials said two of the three victims were stabbed.
