Two persons were hurt in a fire that gutted more or less 10 houses on Villa Maria Street in Bisig ng Kabataan, Brgy. 2, Caloocan City early Wednesday morning, Jan. 25.
The Bureau of Fire Protection identified the victims as Ronel Pavadora, 25, who sustained laceration on right eyebrow. and a 17-year-old boy, whose right foot was injured. They are both residents of Barangay 2. The fire was raised to first alarm at around 3:37 a.m., according to the BFP. It went up to second alarm at around 3:57 a.m. and was under control at 5:40 a.m.The Caloocan City Fire Station said that the fire quickly spread as the houses in the area were made of light materials.
Authorities said the blaze left an estimated P300,000 worth property damage and affected around 20 families.Probers have yet to determine the cause and origin of fire.
