On Thursday , Najib told the court that the late King Abdullah had promised him financial support during a private meeting in 2010. He said there were four letters from Arab royalty, issued between Feb 1, 2011, and June 1, 2014, which promised donations of US$100mil, US$375mil, US$800mil, and £50mil.On Oct 30, Najib was ordered by the High Court to enter his defence on four counts of using his position to obtain RM2.28bil gratification from 1MDB's funds and 21 counts of money laundering involving the same amount.
