SINGAPORE: An information counter for drivers of Singapore-registered cars with questions about their vehicle entry permit (VEP) will open in Woodlands on Aug 19, said Malaysia’s Road Transport Department (JPJ).

KUALA LUMPUR: A Bangladeshi man risked his life by clinging to the grille of a balcony on the 10th floor of an apartment in Segambut to evade arrest during a raid by the Kuala Lumpur Immigration Department here early Friday morning.

The man, who is a building cleaner, was among 18 illegal immigrants, including a boy, arrested in the raid at the apartment. The others are Bangladeshi , Sri Lanka , Filipino , Pakistan and Myanmar , he said, adding that they were among 104 individuals rounded up during the three-hour operation which ended at 3am today.
