KUALA LUMPUR: The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry advised 18 businesses to comply with the recovery movement control order (MCO) guidelines, with one given a warning.

Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the ministry enforcement personnel on Tuesday conducted checks on 727 businesses premises involving the supply of 12 types of essential items."They found that supply of essential items was sufficient and easy to obtain," he said in a statement on Wednesday ."We advised 18 of these premises to comply, while we also issued a warning to one premise for non-compliance.

"The task force also checked 1,189 land transport terminals, 218 water transport terminals and 151 air terminals.Meanwhile Ismail said under Ops Benteng, police set up 63 roadblocks and checked 31,707 vehicles to curb entry of undocumented immigrants and arrested one foreigner for immigration offences.

He added that 12,790 premises were sanitised, involving 2,693 business centres, 5,611 government buildings, 1,591 housing areas, 2,541 public places and 354 supermarkets.
