KUNAK: A district-wide initiative to combat dengue saw 160 participants gather in Kampung Simpang Empat, here, last Sunday.
The “Gotong Royong Mega Perangi Aedes 1.0” programme, led by local authorities, successfully removed three tonnes of solid waste from four targeted locations.Kunak District Council Executive Officer, Mohd Nazri Pintal, said that among other objectives, such activities are held to empower the role of society and community organizations, especially to actively participate in fighting and preventing the threat of dengue through gotong-royong programs to clean up their surroundings.
