After striking the bus, the Charger spun around and struck a Ford Mustang that was also waiting at the red light.The driver, identified by family as Harley, and his passenger, Harley’s 17-year-old pregnant girlfriend, were transported to Seton Hays Hospital in Kyle with serious injuries. The sole occupant of the Mustang and 12 occupants on the Texas State bus were not transported to the hospital, according to the city.
The GoFundMe for Harley said he was declared brain dead on Sunday, and the fundraiser has raised more than $6,500 for his funeral expenses and medical bills. The family wrote in the Go Fund Me that the 17-year-old and her unborn baby are “doing okay after surgery.”
