Kota Kinabalu: A total of 154 dragon boat teams from four countries began their preliminary competitions this morning at Likas Bay, here, to qualify for the grand finals tomorrow.

Kota Kinabalu: A total of 154 dragon boat teams from four countries began their preliminary competitions this morning at Likas Bay, here, to qualify for the grand finals tomorrow.

This event is one of the activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Malaysia-China diplomatic relations. The competition features 11 categories, with total prize money amounting to RM 94,000, said a statement.The grand event tomorrow will be graced by Sabah Governor Tun Juhar Mahiruddin accompanied by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor and State Cabinet members.
