The teen was taken to a hospital in critical condition where he was still recovering on Tuesday.
A 15-year-old boy was in critical condition after being pushed into oncoming traffic in Hemet on Monday, Feb. 28, police said.
Around 4:20 pm, the victim was riding his skateboard eastbound on Stetson Avenue near the intersection with Seven Hills Drive when he met a group of “young people” at the intersection, according to police. Witnesses told the officers that a scuffle ensued resulting in the victim being pushed into traffic lanes.The teen was taken to a hospital in critical condition where he was still recovering on Tuesday, according to Lt. Nate Miller. He is expected to survive.
The group fled the scene and it was unclear how many were involved. There were no suspect descriptions available. The driver, a 52-year-old man, remained at the scene and is not suspected of DUI or speeding, police said. Hemet Police Investigators are seeking dash-cam video from motorists who were in the area at that time.
