A 15-year-old boy is fighting for his life after police say he was shot twice, including once in the head, Thursday night in Wissinoming.

PHILADELPHIAA teenage boy is fighting for his life after police say he was shot twice outside of his home in Philadelphia’s Wissinoming neighborhood Thursday night.

Officers were called to the 6200 block of Mulberry Street just after 9 p.m. for a report that a person had been shot. Responding officers found a 15-year-old boy laying on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds to the back of his bed and side of his body. He was rushed to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital by police and placed in extremely critical condition.

Police say the victim had walked out of his home to grab a case of water from a family member’s vehicle that was parked in front of the home.
