KOTA KINABALU (Bernama): A total of 141 localities in Sabah have been placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) as of Monday (Aug 9), said state Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun.
He said the Kota Kinabalu district had 24 localities under EMCO, followed by Penampang ; Tawau ; Keningau ; Tuaran ; Beaufort ; Sandakan ; Sipitang ; Kudat ; Kinabatangan ; Papar, Kota Belud, Kunak, Putatan, Ranau and Tenom ; Kota Marudu and Telupid ; as well as Tongod and Beluran .
"Apart from that, Kem 2 Tolokoson in Tenom, Kampung Kota Tuaran, Tuaran and Kampung Sarikan, Nabawan will be also placed under the EMCO from Aug 11 after the risk assessment carried out by the Ministry of Health and the rising number of COVID-19 infections in the area,” he said.
