14-year-old boy shot to death inside vehicle in South Chicago, police say

The boy was shot to death while inside of a vehicle, police said.

A 14-year-old boy was shot to death on the city's South Side on Thursday afternoon, Chicago police said.

The shooting happened just before 1 p.m. in the 2300 block of East 80th Street. in the South Chicago neighborhood, police said. The boy was shot in the chest while inside of a vehicle, and he was taken to South Shore Hospital in unknown condition, police said. He was later pronounced dead.No other information was immediately available.
