“Other controlled items include red chillies, green bell peppers, imported large red onions, large yellow onions, potatoes imported from China, chicken wings, live pigs , pork belly, and pork meat and fat,” he said. “All items under the SHMMP will be marked with pink price tags, for easy identification by consumers, and can be verified on the KPDN website at www.kpdn.gov.my,” he added.

14 Items Under Price Control for 2024 Christmas Festive SeasonDomestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali announced that 14 controlled items will be gazetted under the 2024 Christmas Festive Season Maximum Price Control Scheme from Monday (Dec 23). The scheme will be enforced for five days under the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act 2011 to help the public obtain essential goods at controlled prices. These items include imported bone-in mutton, live old chickens, round cabbages, carrots, tomatoes, red chillies, green bell peppers, onions, potatoes, chicken wings, live pigs, pork belly, and pork meat and fat. Engforcement officers will be at strategic locations across the country for inspection. Armizan also announced that 11,240 events under the Rahmah Madani Sales Programme have been held this year, with 670 scheduled for the Christmas and year-end period.
